Banna Beach, or Banna Strand, is a stretch of sandy beach in Tralee Bay, County Kerry. With the Atlantic Ocean lapping at its shores, this is a wonderful destination for a day out on your cottage holiday in County Kerry . There are sand dunes to explore, and in places, views as far as the mountains of the Dingle Peninsula can be enjoyed - a superb backdrop to any picnic.

This Blue Flag beach is popular with surfers and kite-surfers, drawn to the miles of white sand and Atlantic breakers.

Historians will be fascinated by Banna Strand's association with Sir Roger Casement, whose memorial stands tall above the sands.

Whether you stay all day to watch the wildlife, swim, play or surf, or whether you take a stroll before heading off to nearby Tralee or Ballyheigue, the wilds of Banna Strand will stay in your memories long after you leave.
