The Property

Perched on a cliff-top in the townland of Doonaghore near Doolin in County Clare, this traditional detached cottage was the birthplace of the Russell family, one of Ireland’s best-known family of traditional musicians. Full of character and charm, this Doolin cottage offers stone-flagged floors, a solid-fuel stove in an impressive stone hearth, vaulted ceiling and underfloor heating. The large picture window in the kitchen of this Doolin cottage means the room is flooded with light, making it a pleasure to enjoy breakfast while taking in those stunning sea views. Should the sea breeze really pick up, this Doolin cottage remains cosy and welcoming, with the underfloor heating and solid-fuel stove in the sitting room making it a snug retreat. Outside this cottage near Doolin, there is open ground, with a front and rear patio, furniture, BBQ and those ever-present sea views. Walkers will love the proximity to the Cliffs of Moher coastal path, which can be accessed directly from the owner’s land, while families will enjoy a day on Lahinch beach, or discovering the eerie landscape of The Burren. A Doolin cottage for a uniquely Irish break.
