The Property

This detached, traditional cottage, which is conveniently situated entirely over the ground floor, is just perfect for those seeking a taste of traditional, rural Ireland from this Galway cottage holiday. Situated in a scattered hamlet, 1.5 miles from Kinvara, County Galway, Mickey's Cottage is a cosy, welcoming holiday cottage, which has been decorated preserving some of its wonderful traditional elements, such as the warming oil burning stove surrounded by a large stone hearth in the living room, which gives the room a cosy, traditional feel, just lovely for a romantic night in, cuddled up under a blanket, with a steaming mug of cocoa and the toasty stove burning. The enclosed garden is great for those with small children or pets, and provides a great spot for alfresco dining, while the location is ideal for those looking for a rural retreat, without isolation, as the amenities of Kinvara are just a mile and a half from this Kinvara cottage. Previous visitors' comments about Mickey’s Cottage:

We spent two weeks in this lovely traditional cottage, well equipped and cosy inside. The owner was caring, helpful, and welcoming. Our dog Sam loved the enclosed garden, and his canine mates up the road. We liked the location, with the Burren to the South, and Connemara to the North West. Kinvara provided all the sustenance required at a variety of bars, cafes & restaurants!! Excellent value for a relaxing break.
