    “Well what can I say, we had an amazing stay.”

    Drew went above and beyond for us by driving us to and from a family wedding in the area. The cottage was cosy, inviting and very well looked after. It was a home from home. I will definitely recommend to friends and family and hopefully I will be back again soon.

The property

Nestled in the rolling Northern Irish fields of the quaint village Cloughmills is Braeside Farm House.

This charming bungalow sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms, making it the perfect location for a rural family retreat in Northern Ireland.

Pull up in front of the property where plenty of handy off-road parking awaits before walking into the large entrance and kicking off your shoes after a busy day exploring.

Head into the spacious sitting room where a gas fire creates a warm and homely atmosphere, snuggle up here on the sofa surrounded by your loved ones before thinking about dinner.

When stomachs start to rumble, a fully-equipped kitchen boasting an oil range cooker awaits for the designated chef of the group, here they can whip up a myriad of tasty meals that the whole family can enjoy together at the dining table with seating for everyone.

After dinner, unwind in the conservatory with a glass of wine while looking out over the luscious greenery that surrounds Braeside Farm House, or head out to the bubbling hot tub.

When sleep calls, head into any of the three bedrooms, there is a king-size room, a family room with king-size and single bed and a snug single room, all serviced by a sleek bathroom fitted with corner bath and walk-in shower.

Braeside Farm House lies in the small village of Cloughmills that is home to a handy shop, Millside Restaurant which serves Italian and British food as well as steaks and Patton’s Bar; both of these are ideal for the nights you don’t fancy cooking!

This property is also located close to the bustling towns of Ballymoney and Ballymena which both provide more vibrant nightlife, and chances to explore local history in Ballymoney Museum or the Mid-Antrim Museum.

Ballymena is also a popular shopping location as it is home to Fairhill shopping centre that boasts many high-street names, meaning there is something for everyone!

You could also take a day trip to Northern Ireland’s capital, Belfast a city steeped in history or culture, here you can visit the Titanic Museum, a sombre yet important exhibit, Ulster Museum which showcases 9000 years of Irish culture and history or Crumlin Road Gaol; children will also love visiting C S Lewis Square where they can see sculptures of their favourite characters from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Cloughmills is a quaint village in Northern Ireland that rests between Ballymoney and Ballymena. The village is known for its industrial heritage as it was once the site of an old linen mill that was fed by the Cloughwater river, which flowed through the southern end of the village. The village is home to Patton’s Bar and Millside Restaurant that provides a variety of British dishes, a perfect spot for the evenings that you don’t fancy cooking! The town of Ballymena is just a short drive away and is a famous shopping hub in Northern Ireland, home to Fairhill Shopping Centre which boasts a plethora of high street names; there really is something for everyone. You can also immerse yourself in the local history at Harryville Motte and Bailey and the breath-taking Galgorm Castle.
