Caherdaniel 1.5 miles. This detached cottage is set in an isolated spot with great views over the river, close to the village of Caherdaniel in County Kerry. This lovely cottage is ideal for families and friends wishing to get away from it all and explore this lovely part of the country. From the front door there is an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar. After cooking a sumptuous meal which you can enjoy in the dining area of the kitchen, you can then move into the sitting area where you will find comfortable seating around an open fire. There is a ground floor double bedroom and ground floor shower room with the remaining two bedrooms on the first floor. Patio doors from open plan living area leads onto a gravelled patio with a picnic bench and lovely views over the river, where you can sit and relax with a refreshing drink whilst planning your adventures for the next day. The village of Caherdaniel is in a magnificent coastal setting and a perfect base for exploring all of the attractions available in this part of the country. The Kerry Way is very popular, well-marked and a very beautiful walking route. Not to be missed is a visit to Derrynane where you will find an abundance of sea sports and Derrynane House and the National Park provide fabulous days out with the family. The beautiful town of Kenmare can be reached in under an hour and has an excellent variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. For nature lovers, why not visit Valentia Island, located on the north-west corner of the Ring of Kerry? It has fantastic sea cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and is famed for its walking and climbing.
