Allihies and the whole of the Beara Peninsula offers white sandy beaches, rugged seascapes and rolling mountains just waiting to be discovered by all outdoor enthusiasts. Meandering across the mountains is the Healy Pass; a path that can be enjoyed on foot, by car or by bike and offers spectacular views along the way and is something not to be missed. The charming and quaint villages of Kenmare and Glengarriff are both within a short drive and offer many delicious eateries, pubs and shops. From the Glengarriff harbour you can enjoy a boat trip to the gardens at Garnish Island and Kenmare can offer many traditional music sessions.
