The property

An attractive, semi-detached cottage set in the village of Tullaghan, County Leitrim, alongside the sea and the wonders of the Wild Atlantic Way, which stretches along much of the coast of West Ireland. With the towering, green-topped peaks of the Dartry Mountains to one side and the untamed Atlantic waves to the other, this bright and welcoming cottage has been thoughtfully styled to offer a very comfortable and welcoming touring base. Set in a peaceful development of similar properties, with a good blend of traditional and modern furnishings, the property offers an airy fitted kitchen with dining area and doors through to the sitting room. The comfy sitting room comes complete with a cosy open fire, and after a blustery day by the sea or a busy day on the beach, you can curl up together, set a flame to the grate and plan tomorrow’s escapades. On the first floor you’ll find three light bedrooms, one boasting its own en-suite shower room for added luxury during your stay. With impressive views towards the sea, you’ll find a range of beautiful beaches and popular seaside resorts to visit very nearby, including Bundoran a couple of miles away, where you can take to the waves and learn how to master the rolling surf. The stunning sands of County Sligo can be found within easy driving distance, with the bleached beaches of Mullaghmore, Streedagh and Rosses Point all sure to inspire. Head north to uncover County Donegal’s many delights with the Slieve League cliffs soaring above the crashing sea below. The quaint coastal town of Ardara, Donegal’s home of traditional tweeds and knitwear, is a must for a day trip, where you can watch the weavers at work creating time-honoured crafts, before purchasing a sample to remind you of your holiday in this beautiful area. There are so many attractions in Ireland’s beautiful North West, with Glencar Lake and Waterfall flowing just half an hour’s drive away, along with a myriad of walking and cycling routes to discover. An excellent cottage in an excellent area, with stunning sea views and plenty of things to see and do nearby.
