The property

This welcoming cottage is a traditional detached cottage on a quiet development situated within walking distance of Donegal Town. It is an ideal base for families or groups of friends who wish to explore this wonderful part of Ireland. Four bedrooms are split over two floors, with two on the ground floor and two upstairs. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom. The well-equipped kitchen features a dining table, so after a lovely family meal together, you can sit and discuss tomorrow’s adventures. Head into the comfortable sitting room which boasts a fabulous open fire, a wonderful spot to warm the toes after a day spent discovering the local attractions. The lawned gardens are a lovely spot to relax with a cool drink on a summer’s day, or you may wish to venture into nearby Donegal to sample the local amenities. Donegal dates back to the 17th century and is home to a castle, shops, restaurants and a fine selection of traditional pubs. Fabulous beaches abound in this part of Donegal with the Blue Flag beach at Murvagh and the popular surfing beach at Rossnowlagh, which is backed by wonderful cliff views of the Slieve League. County Donegal offers superb fishing in nearby rivers and lakes, or why not practise your swing with a round or two at Donegal Golf Club or Murvagh Links? Fabulous walking can be discovered in the Glenveagh National Park and Malin Head, the most northerly point in Ireland. An excellent touring base for exploring the whole of County Donegal and the north of Ireland.
