This area boasts a large dining area which is perfect for dining alfresco and there is also a hot tub, perfect for enjoying at any time of the year! Portsalon is a coastal village and is popular with visitors worldwide. It also benefits from a fantastic golf course for golfing enthusiasts and one of the most spectacular Blue Flag beaches that Ireland has to offer. Lying on the Lough Swilly banks at Ballymastocker Bay, Portsalon is the ideal base for exploring all that the stunning Fanad Peninsula has to offer. Located just a 15 minute walk from your cottage in Portsalon is an off licence, a local shop and a café. There is also a restaurant, small shop and friendly pub, set along the side of the pier, which is a lovely spot for enjoying a refreshing drink and is just a five minute stroll away. For those who want to discover the rugged and remote wilderness of the Glenveagh National Park, this is just a little further afield and you can explore the area on foot or by bike or car. Slieve League, Europe’s highest sea cliffs, are well worth a visit, as is the walled city of Derry.
