The property

A splendid detached cottage, situated in a rural location, 1.1 miles from Claddaghduff in the west of County Galway. Within sight of the Atlantic and just a short drive from the bustling town of Clifden and the pretty village of Cleggan, this excellent cottage is a perfectly tranquil retreat, ideal for a family or group of friends in need of break beside the sea on the spectacular coast of Connemara. Set entirely over the ground floor, this cosy property offers a well-equipped kitchen for those hearty meals filled with fresh Irish produce, to be enjoyed in the dining area. After dinner, retire to the comfortable sitting room and gather around the warming solid fuel stove as the sun goes down on a day well spent on your Irish adventure. At bedtime, there’s a choice of four tastefully-furnished bedrooms, three doubles, one with an en-suite shower and one twin, as well as a family bathroom. On a bright and cheerful summer’s day, head outside to the lawned area and relax with a glass of something cool whilst planning a holiday full of adventure. You can visit the superb seascapes on offer at Claddaghduff, or enjoy some exhilarating deep-sea angling, lake fishing or pony trekking. Alternatively, for a gentler pursuit, stroll along the endless beaches lapped by the waves of the sparling, azure waters or take a trip to Omey Island. For an evening out or a lovely spot of lunch, sample the cuisine on offer at one of Cleggan’s seafood restaurants, pay a visit to one of the lively pubs, or hop on the ferry to Inishbofin Island. Upon returning to your holiday home at the end of the day, you can be sure a warm welcome will be waiting at any time of year.
