The property

Portmagee 1.5 miles. A wonderful, detached holiday cottage set on the outskirts of the seaside town of Portmagee, on the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, County Kerry. Set close to the sea and with beautiful views across the shore, this thoughtfully furnished property provides an excellent holiday home for extended families and groups of friends to get together and discover the beauty of Ireland’s pretty south west. The very well-equipped kitchen, light and bright with lots of windows and a raised ceiling, comes with a dining area with views across the sea to Valentia Island from the large picture window – the perfect background for breakfast before heading out for an adventure. At the close of the day, retire to the cosy sitting room with its traditional solid fuel stove, and soothe any cares away beside its warming flames. Tastefully decorated throughout, you’ll find four suitably sized bedrooms to meet your party’s needs, one of which with an en-suite shower room. Outside the cottage is a front lawned garden where the little ones and family pet can stretch their legs and where you can see more of those stunning, sweeping views. Behind the property is a patio area where you can settle on sunny afternoons or light up the barbecue. Spend the day on Valentia Island, enjoy a walk and test out the watersports, but make sure to stop off at Bray Tower to admire the view. In Portmagee, under 1.5 miles from your cottage, you can peruse the good selection of shops, stop in one of the pubs or pick up the catch of the day to barbecue back at home. Why not take a boat trip to see the stunning Skelling Islands, which, weather-permitting, depart daily from Portmagee Pier? Twenty minutes’ drive away is The Skellig Chocolate Factory, where you can watch as the chocolate is magically made, before treating yourself to a sample or two! Cahersiveen to the north bustles with activity, with plenty of interesting shops, inns and eateries, along with an excellent harbour offering trips to try deep sea fishing. Make sure to take a tour along the world-renowned Ring of Kerry whilst staying at this beautiful holiday cottage, with a day trip to Killarney, well worth the visit with its stunning national park offering a sanctuary after a day in the busy town. The delights of the Dingle Penninsula can also be enjoyed within a pleasant drive. This warm and welcoming cottage has been thoughtfully finished to provide you and your loved ones with a special holiday destination.
