In a rural position, this detached stone-built cottage is near the hamlet of Clough, four miles from Ballacolla in County Laois. This charming cottage is in quiet surroundings and has been awarded the Fáilte Ireland Welcome Standard as it offers a romantic retreat for couples with its lovingly furnished traditional rooms. You will find features such as an impressive fireplace and a half door which add to the character, sitting alongside the modern conveniences you have come to expect. It also has easy access to the motorway which will take you to Cork and Limerick which makes it a fantastic touring base with a number of attractions to keep you entertained. There are walks and fishing available at Granstown Woods, golfing at Rathdowney and you can spend a relaxed day in Kilkenny visiting the castle and shops. A little further afield are the delights of the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle. From this cottage it is even possible to have a day trip to the capital city of Dublin where you can visit the many tourist attractions including Temple Bar, the Guinness Storehouse and Trinity College. With so much on offer, this cottage is a delight at any time of year.
