The Property

Gortahork 5 miles. This is a lovely detached holiday cottage, located just up from the Falcarragh to Dunfanaghy road towards Muckish Mountain, 5 miles from the village of Gortahork in County Donegal. This County Donegal cottage is wonderfully located, with a beautiful backdrop of fields and mountains, making this an ideal location for a peaceful, relaxing cottage holiday. Views of this wonderful scenery can be enjoyed from both outside and inside the property so, on a summer’s day, sit outside your County Donegal cottage with a morning coffee and breathe in the country air, a great start to the day on your Donegal holiday, or, on a cool evening, relax with a glass of wine in the conservatory, where you can still enjoy the mountain views, across to Tory Island. You can also appreciate the scenery from the living accommodation in your County Donegal cottage, which is ideal for a large group of family or friends on a cottage holiday. The attractive, well-equipped kitchen will make cooking for your party a pleasure, while the dining area makes a lovely light and airy spot in which to enjoy a meal together. Afterwards, relax in the snug in front of the woodburning stove or by the open fire in the sitting room, discussing the itinerary for your County Donegal cottage holiday. There is much you can take advantage of in the area; there are several lovely beaches nearby, including one less than 3 miles away, while Glenveagh National Park is also close by and makes a great day out for the walkers in the party. From Gortahork village, 5 miles away, you can charter a boat and visit Arranmore, Cruit Island and Owey Island, a great experience, while the town of Dungloe can be reached easily by car. Whatever you choose, return to your welcoming County Donegal cottage at the end of each day and enjoy a restful night’s sleep in one of the four comfortable bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, preparing yourself for another exciting day on your cottage holiday in County Donegal.

Previous visitors' comments about Mountain View Cottage:

The 3 ticks rating does not do it justice!! The house has everything you could want and more. The furnishing and equipment provided is of an extremely high standard. The Sky TV is not just the basic fee package and there is also Sky Plus and so many DVDs to watch if you want more. I cannot recommend the house highly enough. The best quality I have stayed in any country. Many Thanks.
