The Property

This couple's retreat, a wing of the owners' detached home, is set amidst delightful gardens, and accessed via a country lane, just 1 mile from the village of Blackwater, County Wexford. Accessed via its own private entrance, and enjoying lovely country views down to the sea, this pretty, romantic Blackwater cottage makes a fantastic hideaway for any couples seeking a bit of privacy from their Ireland escape. Envisage yourself waking up in the morning to the sun shining through the window, and enjoy breakfast in the garden surrounded by lovely views. Listen to the birds and perhaps in the distance, the sea. Take a gentle stroll along one of the coastal or forest paths in the area, hand in hand, and stop to admire the interesting plants you pass on the way. Treat yourself to a tasty pint of the 'black stuff' in one of the many pubs, before wending your way back to your Blackwater holiday cottage for a cosy evening together. Curl up on the sofa as the sun sets on a dreamy day, and await the next, to see what Ireland has in store for you.

Superb views from top of terraced garden.

Delightful cottage set around beautiful scenery, peaceful and tranquil. Fair walk to Deal but worth it.
Mrs Fernie, Denny, July 2010

I think this is the best holiday cottage we have had! A beautiful place, so peaceful. Ideal for 2. Owners really helpful. Would definitely recommend this property, central for all the tourist sites in the area i.e. Waterford, Avoca etc.
