The JFK Arboretum is a plant collection of international
standing, covering 632 acres on the southern slopes and summit of
Slievecoiltia. The lovely grounds are home to 4,500 types of shrubs
and trees, including rhododendrons, azaleas and heathers, climbing
plants and more.
One of the most popular parts of the Arboretum is the lake, which
is home to waterfowl and makes a lovely spot for relaxing and
taking in the colours, scents and scenery.
There is plenty for all the family, with exhibitions, a tea room,
picnic site, play area, maze, nature trail and miniature railway.
Guests making us of our pet friendly Wexford cottages will be
pleased to know the Arboretum allows dogs in the grounds, provided
they remain on a leash.
