The property

Enveloped by emerald, County Leitrim countryside and many well-stocked lakes, this attractive bungalow rests on the fringes of Ballinamore town.

Lettybrook Cottage is ideally suited to families and friends looking to experience a beautiful part of Ireland, wrapped in the peace and quiet of nature.

The cottage is approached via a long, sweeping driveway and is set within its own private garden, where you can take in the surrounding views on return from one of your adventures.

Make the most of the cosy interior and relax into your evening in the living room, which has a lovely dining area and a woodburning stove, taking the chill off on cold nights.

You have all your culinary needs in the kitchen next door, perfect for cooking up a storm for your loved ones, and when the night draws to a close there are four well-appointed bedrooms to catch your rest in.

These are served by a shower room and a bathroom, so there's no need to queue up each morning and evening to use the facilities.

To the exterior is a lawned and gravelled garden wrapping itself around the cottage, where occasionally you might see horses grazing in the fields next door.

Pour yourself a chilled drink and choose from one of two seating areas to spend a summer's afternoon.

Ballinamore is within easy reach by car, offering a plethora of amenities, a rich heritage with traditional buildings and many attractions to be explored such as the Glenview Folk Museum and Fenagh Abbey.

Ballinamore is also part of ‘Blueways Ireland’, which provides for lots of outdoor recreation opportunities, while it is also the home of many festivals throughout the year.

Arigna Mining Experience on the fringes of Lough Alllen is worth a visit to view the trials and tribulations of past generations and gain an insight of what coal mining life was like since its beginning in the 1700's to its closure in 1990.

In addition you are surrounded by many rich lakes offering fantastic coarse fishing and there are mountain climbs, walking trails and many other outdoor pursuits to enjoy in the area.

Carrick-on-Shannon is also nearby and boasts ample opportunities for riverside walks and guided tours to see the landmarks of the town.

Day trips can also be had to Sligo and the Lough Key Forest and Activity Park, home to abundant wildlife, a charming marina and plenty of adventure, makes a fun day out for everyone.
