This stunning, detached cottage is in the small hamlet of Maudabawn, a little over four miles from Cootehill in County Cavan.

This lovely cottage offers homely accommodation with stone walls and a traditional thatched roof.

With spacious rooms and a fantastic location, this cottage is ideal for friends or families to escape to the peace and quiet of the rural Irish countryside.

Inside, you will find three large family bedrooms which offer flexible sleeping arrangements with a variety of double and single beds.

There is also a kitchen with a breakfast area and a dining room with space for the whole group to enjoy a meal.

The dining room doubles as a games room with a pool table and football table, perfect for rainy days, with a lovely multi-fuel stove to curl up in front of in the sitting area.

Completing the accommodation is a second sitting room with a gas fire where you can all gather together for an evening glass of wine and plan the next day?s adventures.

Outside, parents can take a seat in the large garden to relax while watching the children play safely.

The nearby hamlet of Maudabawn is set on the Maudabawn River and provides nightly entertainment at the pub and has a well-stocked village shop.

Less than five miles away is the nearest village, Cootehill, home to shops, pubs and restaurants.

This part of Ireland is an angler?s paradise and hosts a number of lakes and rivers for you to fish including Killyrue Lough, Lough Tacker and Lough Sillian.

You can put your walking boots on and venture out on one of the many walks nearby, take the bike out, or go for a leisurely drive to discover the nearby scenery.

A little further afield you can discover The Cavan Burren Park, Cavan Canoe Centre or Killinkere Pet Farm.
