Situated in a scattered hamlet on the Wild Atlantic Way, 1.5 miles from Kinvara, County Galway, Mickey's Cottage is a cosy, welcoming holiday cottage, which has been decorated preserving some of its wonderful traditional elements, such as the warming oil burning stove surrounded by a large stone hearth in the living room, which gives the room a cosy, traditional feel, just lovely for a romantic night in, cuddled up under a blanket, with a steaming mug of cocoa and the toasty stove burning.

The enclosed garden is great for those with small children or pets, and provides a great spot for alfresco dining, while the location is ideal for those looking for a rural retreat, without isolation, as the amenities of Kinvara are just a mile and a half from this Kinvara cottage.

Galway City 18 miles; Burren National Park 19 miles.

A picturesque seaside village in south County Galway, Kinvara is located on the edge of the world renowned "Burren" on Galway Bay. The entrance into Kinvara is marked by Dunguaire Castle, where medieval banquets are still hosted, and the quaint harbour still holds working examples of 'Galway Hookers', the majestic sailing craft which used to sell their wares between Connemara & Kinvara. Home to numerous pubs, shops and eateries, with a renowned farmer’s market every Friday and hosting two festivals celebrating culture and heritage each year, there is no shortage of things to do here. The small city of Galway, affectionately known as the “city of festivals”, with its pretty alleyways and colourful nightlife is within easy reach, and 7 miles away is the Burren National Park and Nature Reserve where animals and plant life are abundant, and there are numerous walking opportunities.
