  • “This is an ideal house for a group of individuals with plenty of bedrooms and space to spread out generally.”

The facilities were also really good with a mixture of en suites and extra bathrooms, and a well equipped kitchen. The house was very comfortable. Good to relax in after a day out exploring in the area.

The property

This spacious property is situated 5 miles outside of Miltown Malbay, near the coastal village of Spanish Point in County Clare.

Ideally located for exploring the west coast of Ireland and boasting panoramic views of the countryside, this property makes the perfect base for a large family gathering or group of friends.

Bright and airy, the wooden floors and feature stone fireplace give this property a traditional feel, with some lovely modern touches.

Whip up sumptuous meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy them together sat around the dining table, sharing photos and stories of the day’s adventures.

With a full belly and tired out from a busy day, relax in front of the open fire, perfect for warming up those chilly evenings.

Boasting six good-sized bedrooms to retire to at the end of the day, there is plenty of space for a large family group or flexible sleeping arrangements for friends and four bathrooms, two of which are en-suites.

The large gardens run around the property, perfect for games or just to relax with a glass of wine enjoying the sunshine.

Just a short drive from the cottage brings you to Miltown Malbay and Spanish Point, so no need to worry if you need to pop out for a pint of milk, or fancy going out for food instead of cooking.

Any keen golfers in the group can spend the day perfecting their swing at the Spanish Point golf club, one of the oldest courses in Ireland.

Escape for the day on one of the coastal walks within easy reach of the cottage, the stretches of sandy beaches go off into the distance.

The rivers and lakes in the area are well known for the trout and salmon fishing, and the more adventurous in the party can hire a boat locally and try their hand at sea fishing.

For an evening on the town, or a day spent browsing through independent shops, visit Ennis, described as ‘Ireland’s friendliest town’ where there is plenty to do for all the family.

This excellent house is the perfect base for an action-packed or relaxing holiday, exploring this beautiful part of the country.
