“Our stay at Gleston cottage was fabulous.”

The children loved the garden especially the football pitch. The bedrooms are big and are all ensuite which was great. The house had everything we needed and lots more. I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area or looking to explore west Clare. The hodt was very helpful when we needed anything.

Offering a beautiful garden and spacious living quarters, this charming dwelling is ideal for a group getaway to the Irish countryside, while still being within easy reach of local amenities.

Arriving at the property, off-road parking invites you to park the car and step into your home away from home for the trip.

An open-plan living space welcomes the whole group with all the amenities you may need for a fantastic self-catered stay within the kitchen, dining and sitting areas.

Allow the chef of the group to get creative in the kitchen and concoct tasty meals on the electric oven and hob that the group can enjoy at the dining table.

The cottage also hosts another dining room with an electric stove, perfect for catching up with your family over an evening meal.

To relax, sink into the sofa and armchairs to watch TV for the evening, or perhaps break away from the group to indulge in a quiet afternoon of reading in the conservatory while admiring the well-kept garden.

When the evening draws to a close, take advantage of the en-suite bedrooms, each of which have TVs, ensuring there are plenty of ways to keep you entertained during your stay.

The ground floor hosts a family bedroom home to a double and a single, along with storage to unpack your belongings.

Climbing the stairs, the first floor is home to two double bedrooms, one of which has a large walk-in wardrobe, and another family room sleeping five guests among two double beds and one single.

Outside, there is plenty of space for the little ones to play in the multilevel garden; you will find a patio with a barbecue and dining seating, along with additional chairs so you can dine al fresco in the warmer months, along with a large lawn on the upper level with goal posts so you can unleash your competitive side.

While staying at the cottage, you will find plenty of attractions and activities within easy reach, along with a handful of takeaways should you not feel like cooking.

Give the chef of your group a break from the cooking and head out to eat; Morrisseys Seafood Bar and Grill is a scenic drive away and offers a delicious, fresh seafood menu within a picture-perfect setting, or perhaps indulge in some pub grub at The Igoe Inn Bar & Restaurant.

Immerse yourself into the culture of the area and take a visit to Killone Abbey to discover the ruins of a once-prominent place of worship.

Enjoy an afternoon of strolling through the delightful Vandeleur Walled Garden, taking in the elegantly-kept grounds before stopping for a bite to eat at their Woodland Bistro.

Further afield you can visit the dramatic Cliffs of Moher, which has been adapted to provide safe footpaths along the rugged Clare coastlines, along with a visitor centre and unbeatable views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands.
