Hosts were lovely, we didn't want to leave, so extended our stay for 2 more nights.

The property

Located just 2.7 miles from the village of Knocknagoshel in County Kerry, in an elevated position, sits this charming, detached stone cottage.

With its traditional stone exterior, contrasted with the contemporary interior, this beautiful cottage is the perfect rural getaway for those looking to get away from it all, while still having many things to do within easy reach.

This delightful cottage is mostly set on the ground floor and includes widened door frames, large exterior double doors and a wet room, making it very wheelchair friendly.

The decked area outside is perfect for relaxing in the morning with a cup of coffee, while taking in the stunning views of the beautiful Kerry countryside, plus just a hundred yards from the cottage is a stone beehive where you can relax and light the woodburning stove.

The owners keep donkeys and horses, so children will be able to make some new friends.

The nearby village of Knocknagoshel has a good selection of welcoming pubs and the amazing Crag Cave is only a few miles away and is enjoyed by any age.

Further afield day trips include the famed towns of Killarney, Dingle and Tralee or alternatively, head to one of the many beaches within easy reach.

After a long day exploring this wonderful region and with this peaceful cottage to return to at the end of it, you won't want to leave!
