“This is such a lovely house to stay in there's everything you need for the perfect holiday and our host was amazing, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us.”- Ms Kelly, December 2019
“We are a family of 7 who stayed for a summer holiday.”
Lovely peaceful location, only 15 mins from Dungarvan and 20 mins to Clonea beach, with plenty to do in the area. Siobhan was so helpful and welcoming. Excellent for children, ours loved the freedom of the garden and woods. We would happily go back.- Ms Lehane, July 2019
“The house is very comfortable and big.”
Lots os space and well furnitured. Easy to check-in and check-out. The owner of the house gave us all the support we needed answering our questions about wifi and things like that pretty quickly. Went with a group of 10 people and we all had a great time there. Car is a must, but not too far from the city. The only thing I would recommend would be a better care with the back garden/area. There is a big and beautiful area and the grass was very high, so not very nice to walk around.- Miss Prezotto, June 2019
“Great house for a family vacation.”- Mr Hayden, December 2018
“Butterfly house was the perfect space for bringing together our two families of 4 adults, 5 children ( aged 7-13) and one dog for a relaxing five days at the end of October.”
The huge rooms, with their collection of quirky furnishings, invite you to explore, play and rest in a homely atmosphere. The sun pours into the large open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room demanding that you curl up in the corner window with a book or sit at the kitchen island with a cup of tea and chat. From the generous windows you can keep a close eye on the kids bouncing on the in-ground trampoline or playing hide and seek in the surrounding fields. Off the kitchen is a large deck, that in the warmer weather would entice you to take your rest outdoors. The house is cradled behind by an evergreen forest where we went for daily adventures, including the spotting of wild deer, exciting for both adults and children! In the evening we gathered round the multi fuel stove, with plenty of seating for all. Nearby there is a good small supermarket in Cappoquin, beautiful woodland historic walks around Lismore or a larger collection of shops/ cinema in Dungarvan, which is also the start of the Waterford Greenway and close enough to drive to the lovely Clonea Beach. We never made it that far! The kids were so busy playing outdoors or in the family room equipped with pool table, foozeball and air hockey that they never even asked for an electronic device. When they had exhausted themselves they went for respite to the small sensory room that the owner Siobhan has set up with soft coloured lighting, bean bag and gym ball, where they chilled out or read a book. Butterfly House was the perfect escape for our two families to relax, have fun and enjoy spending time together. Siobhan and her two gorgeous children were there to assist if we needed and our kids loved having more company to explore the outdoors with. A great place to reconnect with nature and extended family or friends.- Ms Dempsey, October 2018
“Butterfly House is a large house, ideal for that of large families, or a group of friends.”
It’s extremely comfortable accommodation, located in the beautiful Irish countryside, and is cozy and considerably spacious. The accommodation consists of all amenities to make a stay perfect, the highlights for us were the dining area where all can sit together to enjoy breakfast and meals, and also the fantastic views for the terrace which overlooks green fields and also the forest which houses a host of wildlife. The accommodation is also situated well for those looking to do long walks, or those even looking to do some cycling and is close to Cappoquin, Dungarvan, Waterford, and Cork. Ms. Brady, the owner of Butterfly House is such as kind, caring, and helpful person, and it was such a pleasure for us as a family to get to meet Ms. Brady, and also to experience the delights of what Butterfly House has to offer. We as a family recommend the Butterfly House for an Irish getaway.- Mr Ghent, August 2018
“The property was spacious and suited our needs perfectly.”
Very peaceful surroundings. Our grandchildren loved the games room particularly and spent a lot of time there when we were not out. Ideal property for a large family or group and owner was near at hand and very helpful. Access to N72 and Cappoquin or Dungarvan was straight down the lane from the house . We all enjoyed our week thoroughly.- Mr Torpey, August 2018
“The Butterfly House was perfect for our needs as a family of ten ranging from a one year old to adults.”
Siobhan Brady was a wonderful host and very helpful in making recommendations to us around the area. It was the perfect place to get away from it all, yet be close to many local and distant attractions.- Mrs Bottorf, July 2018
