“Simply perfect!”- Mr Carroll, August 2017
“Sidane cottage is NOT a cottage - it's a converted garage.”
The place is tiny. Half the kitchen is in the bedroom...!!!!! The bathroom is an utter disgrace - the whole floor gets covered in water whilst having a shower. The amount of mould is dreadful and worrying. The amount of dust and hairs in the whole place was unacceptable. We hated the place so much we didn't stay for the full duration of our stay.- Mr Hogan, August 2019
“No TVs and no radio which would have made such a difference.”- Mrs Lynch, September 2018
“It is a very small cottage, not suitable for 3.”
The bedsofa was broken, and had to be supported by suitcases before anyone could sleep on it.- Mr Jochems, July 2018
“Too small for self catering : tiny kitchen where you can't turn around too cook descently plus worn out ustensils !”
no descent wash basin in the bathroom ! (tiny hand basin) / no aeration possible in the bathroom aeria (door between kitchen and bathroom locked) / big garbage bin (occupying space) and no instruction for garbage disposals ! The studio looks good from the outside but living there for a week is a tight squeeze and I would'nt suggest it even for one person ! We've been around many self catering accomadations with our children and as a couple; and one needs a minimum of place to enjoy a weeks holiday !- Mr Birge, June 2018
It doesn't get any better than Sidane Cottage. Everything we could possibly need was there and everything was top quality. Kitchen was small but well equipped, bed was comfortable and linens were high quality, a washer/dryer and iron were in the cottage, seating area was comfortable with a leather sofa, and there was a computer (good WiFi) and a good supply of reading material and games. Parking was at the door. All this was in a beautifully landscaped yard - a very special place. The location was also excellent - just out of the town of Clonakilty and close to a great number of attractions of recreational and cultural/historical interest, The hosts were friendly and helpful. There was nothing that could be improved here and we would refer anyone to Sildane Cottage.- Betty668988, May 2017
“Everything was perfect; the sailing, the journey and the studio we stayed in at.”
The owners were excellent hosts, we are looking forward to staying with them in the future.- Mr Arundel, May 2015
