“We had a very good week at Brook cottage which had all the equipment and facilities we needed plus they accepted a well behaved dog.”

We would recommend it and would stay here again. ...

We would recommend it and would stay here again. We were rather nervous about the front door blowing shut and locking us out and had to be very mindful of the key (which is no bad thing) but when loading/unloading the car it would be helpful to be able to put it on the latch. We were very surprised at the poor quality of the coat hangers ! That might sound picky but they really were awful and we had to bend many of the wire ones back into shape in order to hang our clothes and the plastic ones generally seemed more sized to children's clothing so we hope they heed the feedback and provide some better ones - it let the rest of the cottage down. Otherwise we really enjoyed the cottage and its 'wilderness garden' and it was handy for everything. In Courtmacsherry we can recommend the Lifeboat Inn for meals and also fresh fish and chips from The Lobster's Tale. Further afield round the estuary the Pink Elephant at Kilbrittain provides meals with the most stunning views. We food shopped at the brilliant Scally's in Clonakilty - best supermarket in the world ! Lovely area - lovely people.
