This charming, ground floor stone cottage is attached to the owner’s home, on their 5-acre smallholding on the outskirts of Drinagh, six miles from Leap and nestled in the beautiful rural countryside of West Cork.

Surrounded by tranquil countryside, you can relax and take things at your own pace; uncover the delights of the area on foot or by bike, stay in the cottage and catch up on some reading and in the summer, sit out in the garden and enjoy a barbecue while you soak up the sunshine.

Make friends with the pigs, sheep, ducks and hens that live on the smallholding and browse the vegetable garden, where the owner grows his own produce for the renowned Bantry Farmer’s Market.

You are even welcome to choose a few seasonal vegetables to prepare a tasty home-cooked meal with in your cottage!

Ready with advice and information on local wildlife and walks in the area, the owners love birdwatching and try and work with nature wherever possible.

The cottage is on the outskirts of Drinagh, with village amenities catering for your basic needs.

It is a great spot from which to explore West Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way, a popular coastal route which provides sensational coastal scenery and miles of walks and perfect picnic spots!

Drinagh is a small, quiet village in County Cork, Ireland, found just a short way off the road from Cork to Bantry. The village is ideally situated 10 miles from the beautiful fishing villages of Glandore and Union Hall, and nine miles from the bustling market town of Skibbereen. With two pubs and grocery stores within walking distance, this traditional Irish farming village will tend to your everyday needs and also has a tennis court, should you wish to practice your serve. Alternatively, go for a picnic on the edge of Curraghalickey Lake located just two miles east of the village, or visit the nearby village of Drimoleague, which boasts many fine waymarked walks and is an extension of the Sheep’s Head walks.
