Lovely to have the wood burner, though we didn’t really need it whilst there in summer. Hugh and Caroline are very welcoming and introduced us to the chickens and pigs on the farm! The WiFi works in the bedroom but not the living room/kitchen-diner, unfortunately.

This charming, ground floor stone cottage is attached to the owner’s home, on their 5-acre smallholding on the outskirts of Drinagh, six miles from Leap and nestled in the beautiful rural countryside of West Cork.
The cottage has a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, plus a cosy living space which comprises a kitchen, a sitting area with a woodburner and a dining table for two; it is perfect for couples exploring this wonderful region.
If you want to escape the stresses of day-to-day life, Sycamore Grove is the place for you!
Surrounded by tranquil countryside, you can relax and take things at your own pace; uncover the delights of the area on foot or by bike, stay in the cottage and catch up on some reading and in the summer, sit out in the garden and enjoy a barbecue while you soak up the sunshine.
Make friends with the pigs, sheep, ducks and hens that live on the smallholding and browse the vegetable garden, where the owner grows his own produce for the renowned Bantry Farmer’s Market.
You are even welcome to choose a few seasonal vegetables to prepare a tasty home-cooked meal with in your cottage!
Ready with advice and information on local wildlife and walks in the area, the owners love birdwatching and try and work with nature wherever possible.

Drinagh is a small, quiet village in County Cork, Ireland, found just a short way off the road from Cork to Bantry. The village is ideally situated 10 miles from the beautiful fishing villages of Glandore and Union Hall, and nine miles from the bustling market town of Skibbereen. With two pubs and grocery stores within walking distance, this traditional Irish farming village will tend to your everyday needs and also has a tennis court, should you wish to practice your serve.
