“The host was extremely welcoming and helpful.”

The cottage was very well kitted out and very comfortable. Killorglin turned out to be a great starting point for routes round the Ring of Kerry and getting up into the Dingle peninsula. We enjoyed our stay very much.

“We stayed for a week in this comfortable cottage.”

The cottage is wood burner heated but we never needed it in August. There were 3 of us, so my son had to make/unmake the sofa-bed every day. The owner is wonderful and provided us with any information or assistance requested. The cottage is isolated so obviously transport is required, the local village Killorglin is a cycle distance but too far to walk. The electric charge is about €16/week.

“Lovely owner.”

Place smaller than it looks on photos but that did not bother us as just 2 people. Water pressure low in shower but just about adequate. Facilities good especially as we managed to catch up with clothes washing and there is a tumble dryer available. We found it a great base for exploring Dingle, ring of Kerry (go to Valentia Island) and Killarney National Park.

Answered all our questions and were very helpful. The cottage was lovely (quite cold so take warm clothes but could be due to bedroom heater not working). Gorgeous views from the front door. And easy drive to Killarney, Dingle and Ring of Kerry. Have already recommended Eagles Crest to family members and would 100% stay again! Thank you Eileen and Bertie for a wonderful trip to Ireland. Eileen and Bertie most obliging couple and very helpful to me with touring information and anything they could do to help. I was there at a difficult renovation time for them but they took me being there in there stride . My grand daughter and I whilst there had a lovely time. No do not want to publish as I feel the renovation situation is their private affair and they could not have been a more hospitable couple.

The pretty town of Killorglin is situated in the heart of County Kerry, near the River Laune. Surrounded by great scenery, Killorglin is the gateway to the Ring of Kerry and offers a variety of cafes, restaurants and pubs, along with great fishing possibilities both on the River Laune and at nearby Caragh Lake. The town is also home to the annual Puck Fair, one of Ireland's oldest street festivals, held every August. Close to a great choice of lovely sandy beaches and a golfer's paradise, with an abundance of golf courses in the area. North East to the heart of the Kingdom of Kerry, between the MacGillycuddy Reeks and the Dingle Peninsula, is Milltown. A quiet town where you may experience the old world, with clattering clip clop of horses' hooves as they come and go from the local busy riding stables.
