The property

This lovely, detached house is situated in Kilbrown, just a mile and a half from the seaside village of Goleen, in County Cork.

Situated amidst extensive grounds, there are views over the Atlantic Ocean, as far as Cape Clear and Fastnet Rock, making this a wonderful retreat for any family group looking to holiday on the Mizen Peninsula.

The sitting room at this Goleen cottage is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, boasting leather reclining furniture, and a cosy open fire, perfect on chilly autumn afternoons, after a morning's walking in this scenic region.

The large kitchen with dining area is great fopr everybody to gather round for a family meal, and with plenty of space, the chef can have plenty of company as they whip up something delicious.

The south-facing lawned garden has lovely sea views, so when you've returned from a day at the beach, you can grab a ball, have a kick about and enjoy the surrounding scenery, before heading indoors for a cup of tea in front of the fire.

Barley Cove Beach, with its Blue Flag award, extensive dunes and golden sand is a great place for a day out, so pack up a picnic, get the dog on its lead, and head out for a paddle in the sunshine.
