    “Large modern home, beautifully decorated.”

    However the fixture that held the shower was broken, making a shower very difficult. The owners were a little slow to respond to two of our concerns. The location was beautiful. We really enjoyed the trad music at a local pub.

The property

On the outskirts of Currow, this lovely detached cottage is set adjacent to the owner’s working livestock farm, midway between the towns of Killarney and Tralee, County Kerry.

Situated in a peaceful and rural area, this delightful cottage overlooks stunning countryside and provides a fantastic base for guests to stay in comfort and style while exploring this popular area of Ireland.

The well-equipped kitchen is a fantastic place to prepare a meal, which can then be enjoyed in the beautiful dining room in front of the multi-fuel stove.

The entire cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard, with a cosy sitting room where you can spend your evenings curled up in front of the open fire.

With three delightful bedrooms you are sure to have a good night’s sleep after your busy days exploring the area.

Surrounding the cottage are fields and rolling hills, providing a stunning setting for you to make the most of rural living.

Currow is a traditional village which has access to the array of activities in County Kerry, including Killarney town which is home to the Killarney National Park and Lakes, Muckross House and Ross Castle.

If you fancy a night off from cooking, the town has a great selection of pubs, gourmet restaurants and the opportunity to experience Irish culture and charm.

For a day trip, head along the Slea Head Drive on the Dingle Penisula, or explore the sandy beaches and stunning scenery of the Ring of Kerry along the breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way.

There is also plenty on offer for those looking for more energetic activities including horse riding, golf, kayaking and hill walking.

This charming cottage is a great base for an Irish adventure at any time of year.

The small, rural village of Currow lies just 2.5 miles from Kerry Airport and half way between the popular towns of Killarney and Tralee and offers visitors a superb base to explore County Kerry. Situated on the banks of the Brown Flesk River, a tributary of the River Maine, Currow is typical of many traditional Irish villages with simple facilities including a shop and a pub. The nearby town of Castleisland is home to Crag Caves which has various attractions including Crazy Caves and Kingdon Falconry. There is also a golf club, a pitch and putt course, An Ríocht Health & Leisure Centre and a tennis court. With a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes there are plenty of activities to occupy the whole group.
