Outside this welcoming cottage near Firies, which is set back from the road, there is a beautiful, large, rear lawned garden with outdoor table and chairs, where you can dine alfresco and enjoy a refreshing drink whilst admiring the views. The small village of Firies is just a short distance away from this County Kerry cottage and has a shop and two pubs to enjoy. The vibrant holiday town of Killarney is a short drive away from this attractive Firies cottage, with its summer festivals and many other attractions throughout the year. There is also stunning scenery with MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and the national park just outside of the town. Further afield you can enjoy the scenic attractions of West Cork and Kerry as well as Dingle, with its lovely beaches, cliffs and rows of interesting shops and friendly bars. The Iveragh Peninsula is also nearby, as well as the renowned Wild Atlantic Way. A drive on Connor Pass is not to be missed and you could try surfing at the large Inch beach or take your shoes off and stroll along the beach or go for a lovely run. The scenic route of the Ring of Kerry is in easy reach and there are lots of beaches to explore at White Strand, Derrynane and Rossbeigh. Your holiday would not be complete without a visit to taste the seafood in Caherciveen, a trip to view the Fogher Cliffs on Valentia Island and visits to Kenmare, Glengarriff and Waterville.
