The property

This fantastic bungalow is set next to the owner’s home in the town of Youghal in County Cork, a short walk from the local amenities and the beach.

The property provides a lovely retreat for a couple who are looking to get away from it all and explore the south of Ireland.

With all of the accommodation set across the ground floor, the heart of the home is the open plan living area which has a well-equipped kitchen and dining area to prepare and enjoy meals together.

The sitting area is comfortable and ideal for relaxing at the end of the day while discussing your next adventure.

From the garden you can enjoy views out across the sea while having your morning coffee or enjoying the peace with a good book.

Youghal has plenty on offer including delicious local food, long sandy beaches, golf, surfing and more.

As everything is so close at hand you can leave the car and travel on foot without thinking about parking or who will be the designated driver.

Nearby you can visit Ardmore, Dungarvan and try some whiskey at the Jameson Whiskey Experience in Midleton just a half hour drive away.

For a day trip, the city of Cork isn’t too far and here you can visit the variety of shops and restaurants and enjoy one of the tours which are on offer.

You could even visit the famous Blarney Castle and join the millions of pilgrims to kiss the famous stone.

This lovely cottage is a fantastic choice for a romantic holiday on the Emerald Isle.

Situated on the estuary where the River Blackwater meets the sea is the seaside resort of Youghal in County Cork. Just across the water from this popular coastal destination is County Waterford, making this a wonderful spot to explore both counties. The historic 12th century town walls still remain and Youghal was once a busy port town and today you can enjoy a stroll along the prom and gaze at the boats docked in the harbour. Swim or stroll along the sandy beaches, take a cruise along the Blackwater River, take a guided tour of the town or simply relax and enjoy the pubs, cafes and restaurants. Youghal is also home to an excellent 18 hole golf course and the Aura Leisure Centre with a gym and 25 metre pool. Set on Ireland's Ancient East, there are a variety of attractions and days out where you can discover the history of Ireland and enjoy the stunning scenery.
