Hillgrove House provides an exceptional base for exploring this unspoilt area of Ireland, with some of the most magnificent rolling country views from every window of the house!

Entering the property, you will be greeted to a spacious hallway where you can kick off your coats and boots and delight in the spacious lounge area with plenty of plush seating to relax and unwind of an evening, with an open fire to keep you warm and toasty.

Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, housing ample seating for family gatherings over a lovingly prepared home-cooked meal, cooked to perfection in the modern and well-equipped kitchen.

Down the hall you will find four spacious and well-presented bedrooms; two doubles, one single, one family room with a double and single bed and an extra single, all with contemporary furnishings to store your personal items.

Delight in the family bath and shower room with high-quality fixtures and fittings so you can decide how best to prepare for your day.

Outside has an enclosed garden, with lawn and patio areas where you can enjoy a refreshing beverage in the afternoon sun.

Travel towards any one of the nearby rivers or lakes and spend the afternoon in a tranquil surroundings, offering fishing and sailing opportunities.

For a spot of history, visit the wonderful Ballymalis Castle, a tower house and a national monument, perfect for exploring.

Discover a number of sandy beaches dotted along the coastline, where you can spend your afternoon relaxing against the golden sands or having a swim in the clear waters.

There are a number of traditional Irish pubs and restaurants also within reach, serving fine food and real ale, whilst the nearby independent shops and supermarkets are perfect for exploring for your amenities or a general shopping trip.

KILLORGLIN, COUNTY KERRY

Killarney 12 miles.

The pretty town of Killorglin is situated in the heart of County Kerry, near the River Laune. Surrounded by great scenery, Killorglin is the gateway to the Ring of Kerry and offers a variety of cafes, restaurants and pubs, along with great fishing possibilities both on the River Laune and at nearby Caragh Lake. The town is also home to the annual Puck Fair, one of Ireland's oldest street festivals, held every August. Close to a great choice of lovely sandy beaches and a golfer's paradise, with an abundance of golf courses in the area. North East to the heart of the Kingdom of Kerry, between the MacGillycuddy Reeks and the Dingle Peninsula, is Milltown. A quiet town where you may experience the old world, with clattering clip clop of horses' hooves as they come and go from the local busy riding stables. From Killorglin along the coast to the West is the lovely village of Glenbeigh, offering a wealth of traditional inns and good restaurants, whilst providing easy access to the Blue Flag beach at Rossbeigh Strand, a sandy beach stretching over 4 miles, renowned for its safe swimming, adventure sports and paragliding. The delightful town of Killarney is also within easy reach, offering a selection of good shops, restaurants, bars and theatres.
