The property

This lovely detached cottage is situated one mile from the village of Narin in County Donegal.

Your charming holiday home provides comfortable accommodation for families in what is one of Donegal?s most scenic regions.

Inside this delightful, single-storey cottage is a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as a welcoming sitting room, which has a cosy woodburning stove, so after a busy day exploring this wonderful part of Emerald Isle, return and relax in front of stove with a warm drink.

Completing the accommodation are two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one family room with a double and single bed, and there?s also a separate shower room available.

To the rear of the cottage, about five hundred meters away, is the Kilclooney Dolmen, which lies on the owners?

land and dates back to around 4500 years.

This historic burial monument is one of Ireland?s most well-known Dolmens, plus just across the road is the Dolmen Centre, where you can learn all about times gone by, and how our ancestors came to build these iconic structures that decorate the landscape today.

Within easy reach is the seaside resort of Narin, where you will find a shop and pub, along with a Blue Flag beach.

A golf course is situated next to the beach, and a few miles away is the heritage town of Ardara, which is home to a number of shops, pubs and craft shops.

The small village of Narin lies in Gweebarra Bay, on the west coast of County Donegal. With rolling bog land, rocky shores and low hills, the Donegal landscape in Narin is beautiful for long walks and country pursuits. Narin Strand is a lovely long Blue Flag sandy beach with great swimming opportunities as well as boating and watersports. From the beach you can see Inishkeel Island out in the bay, which at low tide, can be reached by foot. The Narin-Portnoo Golf Club, with its sweeping views of Gweebarra Bay is considered one of the finest natural and scenic 18 hole links courses in Ireland. Close by, and well worth a visit are the villages of Ardara, with an interesting heritage, and Dungloe, home to the famous 'Mary from Dungloe' Festival, while Donegal Town is just a little further.
