To the rear of the cottage, about five hundred meters away, is the Kilclooney Dolmen, which lies on the owners’ land and dates back to around 4500 years.
This historic burial monument is one of Ireland’s most well-known Dolmens, plus just across the road is the Dolmen Centre, where you can learn all about times gone by, and how our ancestors came to build these iconic structures that decorate the landscape today.
Within easy reach is the seaside resort of Narin, where you will find a shop and pub, along with a Blue Flag beach.
A golf course is situated next to the beach, and a few miles away is the heritage town of Ardara, which is home to a number of shops, pubs and craft shops.
