“This is an excellent holiday option located in a quiet spot with great views yet just a short stroll into town.”
Modern, clean and all mod cons. Great option for a quiet break mixed with scenic walks and drives. Check out the fishmonger and The Bridgend Tavern in town too!

“A relaxing, quiet getaway in a warm, cosy home with an outstanding view.”
We just loved our stay here. Private and excluded yet you can walk to town for all the amenities of Ballyshannon. Walk left from the property to the beautiful, rushing Abbey river and access to Erne estuary where you can walk the sand bar on low tide all the way to Donegal Bay. I had the beach all to myself and the dog. Beautiful. Couldn’t have wanted anything more except a crackling fire (I put a fireplace for my search criteria, although the property listing didn’t say anything about a fire except the photos so I was prepared that the fireplace wasn’t operating, Sykes somehow placed it in my search results so.) no worries as the home was so warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. If you have a dog that runs off, this place won’t work for you as there’s no enclosed area. I look forward to returning as it was most restful stay I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for sharing your lovely property!- Stacey, October 2021
“The house was a delight to stay in.”
It was exceedingly clean and comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The most amazing thing was the view! Thanks for the delicious scones that were left for us to enjoy on arrival. Highly recommended.- Angela, October 2021
Will never use sykes or hogans Irish cottages again.- Cormac, September 2021
