The cottage is a fantastic choice for anybody looking for a quiet retreat in this peaceful location. You enter the cottage into a small porch, a great place to leave your walking boots, before stepping through into the main hallway. There is a cosy sitting room with comfortable sofas and an electric fire where you can relax in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped and has an adjoining dining room where there is space to make plans for the next day and enjoy evening meals together. This room has stunning views out to the surrounding fields and you can catch glimpses of the sea not too far away. There is also a multi-fuel stove in here which makes this a homely room to spend time in. There are three bright bedrooms as well as a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower and a cloakroom to help avoid queues in the mornings. Outside there is a large gravelled area with plenty of space for parking. You are in a fantastic spot for visiting the nearby beaches including Five Finger Strand and Malin Head is the breathtaking start of the Wild Atlantic Way. If you are lucky enough you may even see the Northern Lights if you stay early in the year. The area offers lovely walks, cycle routes, fantastic views and the opportunity to enjoy an Irish welcome in the lively bars. Umgall Cottage is a lovely bungalow with a choice of activities to enjoy.

Malin Head on the Inishowen Peninsula is famous for being the most northerly point in Ireland. A walk around Malin Head is just over five miles and takes a little over two hours so why not stop off for a refreshing drink at Ireland’s most northerly pub and enjoy the views? Only a short drive away lies Balyliffin with a beautiful beach and two world-class championship links golf courses, while Inishowen has five golf courses set amongst stunning scenery. The Famine Village on Doagh Island near Ballyliffin is open all summer and attracts thousands of visitors.
