The seaside resort of Carrigart in County Donegal sits to the east of the area known as Sheephaven Bay, which stretches to Dunfanaghy in the west. Carrigart is a traditional and tidy little village, with a pleasant park which is ideal for picnics. There are two supermarkets, a take-away, café, two bars, a butcher’s and a chemist. The horse riding centre in the village can cater for all abilities, so why not see some of the spectacular surrounding countryside from horseback? There are facilities for golfing, fishing, diving and watersports in the area, making this a great destination for those who want an active break.
