    “House and all the facilities were first rate.”

    Beaches are beautiful. Shame there weren’t restaurants etc open but that was Covid related. Had a super holiday here.

This charming thatched cottage is situated within beautiful countryside, a short drive from Dungloe and 3 miles from the village of Lettermacaward, in fabulous County Donegal.

Step inside and flop down onto the comfy leather sofas in the sun room, as you admire the panoramic views across Trawenagh Bay, or warm your toes in the sitting room's roaring open fire.

Seamlessly blending the modern with the traditional, the cheery kitchen retains a delightful Belfast sink, set into chunky wooden worktops.

For families or two couples, the three bedrooms are simply perfect; one of the two doubles boasts en-suite shower facilities and also leads through into the twin.

Outside there are rear and side lawned gardens, complete with a stream, a swing, furniture and a barbecue ?

all you?d ever need for all the family to relax and play when the sun?s high in the sky.

There is so much to do in this area, with the breathtaking coast less than a mile away and the truly idyllic Donegal countryside on your doorstep.

Why not visit the many lakes in The Rosses, or delight in the spectacular Errigal Mountain and Glenveagh National Park?

Alternatively, take a stroll along the sand and feel the waves lap at your feet on the beautiful beaches for which Donegal is renowned.

It?s certainly hard to tire of cooking delicious fresh Irish produce at home, but if you do, Glenties is a short drive away for a meal out, or Lettermacaward boasts two local pubs for a well-earned drink with the locals as they day draws to a close.

LETTERMACAWARD, COUNTY DONEGAL

Dungloe 5 miles; Ardara 14 miles; Mountcharles 23.5 miles; Donegal 27 miles.

The small village of Lettermacaward is on the beautiful west coast of County Donegal, and is home to shops, pubs and lovely sandy beaches. Dooey Beach is remote and secluded, and has great choppy surf, ideal for watersports. A short drive away, the colourful resort of Dungloe is a renowned fishing area, and offers 130 lakes and rivers for fantastic angling. Dungloe, with its island-studded bay, is a haven for wildlife, fantastic for nature lovers and birdwatchers alike. A little further afield, Glenveagh National Park is a great day out. A fantastic little village all year round.

Please note that although this property is pet free for guests the owner has dogs that occasionally will attend the building.
