    “A well equiped and spacious house.”

    We had the rare experience of a week without rain in Donegal, which made everything even more enjoyable. The Port Arthur sandy beach is within walking distance, we had the good luck to see dolphins swimming along it one afternoon. There is a good supermarket (Gallaghers) just 3km away in Derrybeg. The house makes a good base for visiting the area, eg. Dunfanaghy beach, Errigal mountain, Glenveagh park, ... .

Resting in the charming village of Brinlack in County Donegal is Sunset Cottage Carrick, a superb cottage boasting fantastic views and unbeatable sunsets from the lovely mature garden.

Ideal for a family or group of friends looking to explore the Irish coast, this dwelling provides a excellent base, or a relaxing retreat.

The area of Gweedore Gaeltacht in west Donegal, provides some of the best views of the Atlantic Ocean, Arranmore Island, Gola and Inishmeain Island, as well as being walking distance from the fabulous Port Arthur beach.

Step into the cottage and happen upon the sitting room, home to a toasty woodburning stove, perfect for warming your toes in the chillier evenings.

Cosy up with your loved ones on the sofa and unwind in front of the TV which also has Netflix to keep you entertained.

From here, make your way into the kitchen where you will find all the necessities for rustling up meals for your group including an electric oven and gas hob.

Gather your group and sit down for dinner at the dining table while you catch up on the day's events.

As night rolls in, retire to the bedrooms to rest your eyes; the cottage hosts a ground-floor king-size double bedroom with an en-suite shower room perfect for a multi-generational break or for those with limited mobility.

Head upstairs where you will find the remaining two double bedrooms, along with a shower room where the group can prepare for the day ahead.

Completing the interior of the property is a handy cloakroom located on the ground floor.

Spend some time outdoors in the garden; hosting dining furniture and a luscious green lawn and mature garden, providing a tranquil space for the whole family.

While staying at the cottage, treat your loved ones to some delicious dinners in the nearby eateries.
