    “Excellent cottage in glorious countryside.”

    Everything as it should be. Only one small criticism and probably says more about my eyesight, was that the TV was very small which made for difficult viewing. Owner was very pleasant and helpful.

The beach is cradled by rolling sand dunes, and there are two charming pubs only a few minutes’ walk away, the perfect end to a day spent beside the shore.

When the tide is low, holidaymakers can walk across to Inishkeel Island via a sandbank and explore this historic island, which is home to the remains of a 6th century monastery.

Portnoo offers a wonderful base to explore the west coast of Donegal and there are endless attractions on the doorstep of your Donegal cottage, just waiting to be discovered, including the charming town of Ardara, home to a delightful array of traditional shops, inns and craft shops.

The majestic sea cliffs at Slieve League are the highest in Europe and are certain to impress, and there are endless walking and cycling trails for the active members of your party.

A splendid village that time seems to have forgotten, Portnoo is famously known for its breathtaking Blue Flag beach at Narin, which is safely set in a cove and sheltered from the harsh elements. The vast expanse of sand which is set in a rural environment has been attracting holiday makers to its shores for years. After the Atlantic hits the shores at Narin you find the wonderful sand dunes that give the village of Portnoo its seaside character. The Narin and Portnoo Golf Club, with its excellent facilities, is a worldwide attraction that draws golfers in from all corners of the globe.
