Dublin 9 miles. This rustic chalet to the rear of the owner’s own home is adjacent to the owner’s small work yard, four miles from the village of Rathfarnham and nine miles from Dublin city. This quant chalet is a perfect base for touring the area. The chalet is compact and bijoux comprising of an open plan living area with a sofa bed in addition to a loft room which has a double bed in it. This room is compact and cosy with access via open tread stairs and then through a low open doorway, you will need to duck to enter, so mind your head! This room is also only suitable for adults. The open plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and a sitting area. The main bedroom on the ground floor has a 4ft double bed and there is a separate shower room with basin and WC. The woodburner makes it cosy and there is free WiFi available. Outside this cosy chalet there is a private patio with furniture where you can sit and enjoy a refreshing drink whilst planning the rest of your holiday. The popular Merry Ploughboy pub, renowned for its Irish evenings, is within strolling distance. Dublin city is a mere 9 miles away, where there is plenty to see and do. There are many shops, pubs with traditional music, restaurants and historic sites. A trip to the Guinness Storehouse and a brewery tour is a must, along with Dublin Zoo, and theatres with everything from comedy, ballet and plays. You can also take a bus tour to take in the sites of Dublin. A lovely Emerald Isle base.
