    “Roseville is a perfect location for Balinasloe but transport is needed as it is too far to nearest town, I was fortunate to have my daughter with me as she hired a car and the rest of us don't drive other wise it would have been a big expense in taxi's as there is no public transport.”

There is horse-riding within 3 miles of this Galway cottage and walking is abundant in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Just an hour away is Roscommon and Galway Town, making this a superb cottage for exploring this part of Ireland.

Ahascragh is a small village in East Galway located 7 miles north-west of Ballinasloe. It has a thriving local community and is home to a number of traditional Irish pubs. It is surrounded by rolling countryside and is a great place to visit for those who enjoy walking and cycling. Anglers can avail themselves of excellent fishing in local rivers and can try their hand at catching pike and trout, both of which are common to this area. Ahascragh is central to a number of West Ireland's most popular attractions, most of which can be reached in under a couple of hours’ drive, including Clonmacnoise - the most visited heritage centre in Ireland, plus there are vast lakes to admire, craggy mountains to climb, rugged coastlines to explore and the vibrant city of Galway is just under an hour away.
