    “I'm just back from spending 3 nights in this haven.”

    This was the ideal home away from home for me - a perfect representation of irish country life at it's best. The house was a steal for such a low price - everything was clean (this was important for me), tidy and cosy and had everything I needed. The sheep (and baby lambs), cattle and dogs made it really special. The owners couldn't have been nicer while still respecting privacy. I needed to step outside of my routine- this was the perfect escape. 5* I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a ...

Ballinrobe is a lively market town on the River Robe in County Mayo, close to Lough Mask, Lough Carra and Lough Corrib. Geographically, it is ideally located as a touring base for those wishing to explore Galway, Mayo and west Ireland. Dating back to the 1300s, Ballinrobe is believed to be the oldest town in South Mayo, and is surrounded by many features of archaeological, architectural, historic and ecological interest.
