    “We really enjoyed our time here.”

    Huge house. The toys were a hit with my kids. House was comfortable and warm. Would recommend. Location was great for seeing some beautiful sites, shops close and peaceful surrounds.

Ballinrobe is a lovely town nearby, with plenty of offer to keep all guests entertained, including many traditional pubs, restaurants and shops to enjoy.

Lying on the River Robe, Ballinrobe meets the vast Lough Mask which is set just over a mile away.

This lough is ideal for those who enjoy fishing with many fishing opportunities for both amateur and experienced anglers.

This area is also where you can enjoy Bower’s Walk, a picturesque walk along the river banks.

For any golfers in your party, there is a local golf course where you can practice your swing and there is also the opportunity to spend an afternoon at the Ballinrobe Races.

Worthwhile day trips in the surrounding area include visiting the city of Galway, Achill Island, Croagh Patrick and Connemara, all of which will leave you with great, long-lasting holiday memories.

Ballinrobe is a lively market town on the River Robe in County Mayo, close to Lough Mask, Lough Carra and Lough Corrib. Geographically, it is ideally located as a touring base for those wishing to explore Galway, Mayo and west Ireland. Dating back to the 1300s, Ballinrobe is believed to be the oldest town in South Mayo, and is surrounded by many features of archaeological, architectural, historic and ecological interest. Ballinrobe is known as the lake angling centre of the west, and with 60,000 acres of lough fishing, and miles of river fishing close by, it is easy to see why, plus the town offers a championship 18 hole golf course and spring and summer horse racing meetings. For day trips, the stunning Mayo coastline can be easily reached in half an hour, and a visit to the world-famous Connemara National Park, with its breathtaking walks and amazing scenery, makes for an unforgettable day trip.
