“This place is wonderful, perfect for traveling into depth of Connemara and also close to Galway too… the place has EVERYTHING you might need and more!”

! They have absolutely thought of everything, also a lovely touch with the scones butter and milk on arrival!

! They have absolutely thought of everything, also a lovely touch with the scones butter and milk on arrival! So clean, so comfortable. The ONLY reason I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 is because of the chickens next door … most of the time they were fine, but when they got noisy it sometimes went on for over an hour… most would probably not mind this however we live in a noisy area and had come to get some complete quiet! However as I said all in all it was nearly perfect.

The property

This wonderfully-presented, single-storey, detached cottage is set just a short walk from Carraroe, an Irish speaking village in the heart of Connemara.

The cottage has been decorated and furnished to a high standard, meaning you can enjoy comfort and style on your well-deserved break in this popular region.

There is a contemporary kitchen where guests can prepare tasty meals to be enjoyed in the dining area, all before heading to the sitting room to unwind and warm up in front of the electric fire, whilst discussing what holiday adventures are still to come.

Guests can enjoy a good night’s sleep in one of the three excellent, comfortable bedrooms, which include two doubles and a twin.

Stroll to the village of Carraroe and enjoy an even more authentic Irish holiday in this Ghaeltacht region of Connemara, where most of the locals speak Irish and you may be able to learn a few words during your stay.

Warm Irish welcomes await you in the local shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, ensuring a lovely stay is had by all.

Connemara is often heard referred to as ‘authentic Ireland’ and is famed for the rugged coastline and landscape, crystal clear blue waters and the sheer wildness of the area.

Guests will love meeting the Connemara ponies, wandering along the almost deserted beaches, or, alternatively, cycling along the miles of scenic roads without seeing another soul along the way.

The wonderful area of Connemara has all of this to offer its visitors.

Nearby, there is a choice of wonderful beaches to choose from, including the Blue Flag beach of Coral Strand, a great diving base for those of all abilities.

For those members of your group who enjoy golfing, the Connemara Isle Golf Club is just 20 minutes away and there are others to choose from, just slightly further afield, in Oughterard and Bearna.

The lovely craft village of Spiddal can be reached via a coastal drive.

Here, you can pick up a homemade souvenir to remind you of your trip.

Further afield is the popular city of Galway which is also well worth a visit.
