Teach Ciuin (pronounced Chock Queue-in) means quiet house, has been a very peaceful and tranquil escape for parents and children alike throughout generations.

This all-ground-floor accommodation comes with three well-presented bedrooms to choose from, ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit your group.

Here, you will find a king-size double bedroom, a queen-size double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each boasting a bright and airy interior and ample storage for all of your holiday belongings.

After an action-packed afternoon, look forward to spending your wind down time with all the family within the open-plan living room.

Rustle up delicious home-cooked meals within the amply-equipped kitchen before settling down at the dining table to plan the days ahead over your meal.

After dinner, choose to lounge within the open-plan living room, where views of the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed or rest in front of the woodburning stove which is situated within the separate sitting room.

To the outside, you will be delighted to find a large enclosed garden, where you can roam during a summer's day before venturing out for the day.

Teach Ciuin is a wonderful escape from the pressures of modern life.

You are surrounded by farmland and if you walk further up the road over the hill you will see the bog, where turf is harvested for use in the house.

Each local house has a small plot of bog to use for heat.

This is a farming community, based on livestock and if you have a dog please do not let your dog into any field with farm animals in it.

This is a great touring base to enable you to explore the whole province from Sligo in the North to Limerick, Clare, Galway, Connemara and the Islands that lie off the beautiful western Atlantic coast of Ireland.

The province is famous for its trout and salmon fishing attracting sportsmen and women from all over the world.

Ballinrobe is a small town in the heart of Co Mayo.

This is one of the most undeveloped counties of Ireland with 80,000 residents, and the main employment is farming.

You can visit the museum in Castlebar to understand more about the deep history and culture of this amazing place on the western fringes of Europe.

Teach Ciuin is a superb base whether you are exploring this majestic part of Western Ireland or partaking in any of its huge range of activities, there is always something on offer.
