    “Firstly, the site photographs do not do the property full justice!”

    The Location and siting of the house are spectacular. Internal photos could also have been better to show real comfort and homeliness of inside. Would agree with previous comments about too much "stuff" in the kitchen - enough gear to cater for about 20 people! Need some room for our own food and drink. Lots and lots of wine glasses but sadly no beer glasses - sorry lads, have to drink from the bottle or can! Very well equipped in every department. Overall, a superb holiday rental. Peaceful, ...

The property

This is a delightful, detached cottage, dating back over 200 years, situated on the shores of a lake, on the island of Lettermullen, County Galway.

This Lettermullen cottage is a traditional Irish holiday home, but its location on the lakeside gives it something special.

Use of the owner's boat means guests can launch from the pier and enjoy long lazy days on the lake, fishing for brown trout, relaxing or picnicking, making the most of the peaceful, tranquil setting and clean, fresh air.

Artists and birdwatchers can make the most of the beautiful landscapes and scenery surrounding this Lettermullen cottage, while walkers can discover hidden Connemara when exploring the designated walkways of this traditional western isle, or take a trip on the coast road, through the other islands out in this area, immersing yourself in Irish speaking communities with great Failte for visitors.

Galway City 36 miles.

Lettermullen is a small island off the west coast of Ireland, in the Connemara region, County Galway. The most westerly of three islands in the bay, Lettermore, Gorumna and Lettermullen, Lettermullen is linked to the mainland via bridges and causeways, through the other two islands. Lettermullen is part of the Gaeltacht regions of Ireland, where the Irish language is most commonly spoken. The island is home to a unique 9-hole golf course as well as lovely sandy beaches and shorelines to explore. Galway City lies 36 miles from Lettermullen, and is easily accessed via the beautiful coast road, over the bridges and causeways, and provides lots of activities for a great day out. Lettermullen is the perfect holiday destination for those seeking a peaceful, beautiful getaway.
