The property

This charming Irish cottage is situated in Ballyglass, just 2.5 miles from Rahara, and 8 miles from Roscommon, in County Roscommon.

Dating back to the late 1800s, and boasting a beautiful thatched roof, this Roscommon cottage was fully refurbished in 2005 to provide a wonderful, high quality holiday cottage for friends and families to enjoy.

With two mezzanine bedrooms situated in the wood-panelled eaves, one accessed via a ladder and the other by spiral stairs, this Roscommon cottage offers unusual and interesting accommodation nestled amidst the stunning Irish countryside.

An oil-burning stove gives this Irish cottage a cosy and welcoming feel, while the stable door exudes charm and character in keeping with its tradition.

A bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor make the accommodation in this Roscommon cottage accessible, so the whole family can enjoy this Irish cottage accommodation.

With fantastic walking and cycling opportunities close by, and Lough Funshinagh, a 'disappearing' lake, there is no better way to spend an Irish cottage holiday than in the peace and quiet of Ballyglass Thatched Cottage.
