The property

This delightful, detached cottage, set mostly over the ground floor, is situated just a five minute walk from the heart of Loughrea in East Galway.

Tastefully decorated to a high standard throughout, this Loughrea cottage has been lovingly furnished to provide comfortable and quality accommodation during your Galway discovery.

With four wonderful bedrooms, including one boasting an en-suite shower room for added convenience, this cottage in Loughrea is a fabulous getaway for friends and families.

Wine and dine with your loved ones in the open plan kitchen and dining area, complemented by a multi-fuel stove, perfect for banishing the cold on those chilly evenings.

After a day exploring the shores of Loughrea Lake, kick back and unwind in the cosy sitting room by a roaring fire, and dream of tomorrow’s adventures, or, spend hazy, sunny evenings relaxing in the sun room just watching the world go by.

Outside this Loughrea cottage, there is a spacious garden with furniture, where children can play safely whilst you enjoy a refreshing drink.

Lying to the north of the Slieve Aughty Mountains, the town of Loughrea takes its name from the lake that it lies alongside, offering excellent fishing and walking opportunities for holidaymakers, and within Loughrea Lake, small artificial islands built long ago, known as crannogs, still remain today.

The town also has a golf course, offers horse riding and angling, a public park, and plays host to a wonderful selection of shops, pubs and eateries.

Why not take a trip to Cloghan Castle, which dates back to the 12th century, or Loughrea Cathedral which is recognised for its vast collection of Irish craftsmanship and Celtic art.

Similarly, with its intricate decoration, the Turoe Stone near Loughrea is one of Ireland’s finest examples of ancient art!

Further afield, the sights of Galway city await you, with its cobbled streets and excellent seafood.

Set in a beautiful location, this Loughrea cottage makes a wonderful base to uncover the magic of County Galway.
