“Lovely cottage”

We had a great time staying in Cliff Lodge - it's a lovely, clean cottage with everything you need for your holiday, and a few extras you might not expect. The owners are great - they were there to meet us and show us around, and they left us a few bits and pieces to get us started. They were also happy to respond to emails and questions before our holiday. ...

We had a great time staying in Cliff Lodge - it's a lovely, clean cottage with everything you need for your holiday, and a few extras you might not expect. The owners are great - they were there to meet us and show us around, and they left us a few bits and pieces to get us started. They were also happy to respond to emails and questions before our holiday. It is well situated, handy as a touring base for County Galway and further afield. Loughrea centre is a short walk away and has a good range of shops and some excellent pubs and restaurants. There are a couple of decent supermarkets a short drive away on the other side of town. Would definitely go back again.

Just five minutes from the town of Loughrea in County Galway is this charming detached cottage.

This Loughrea cottage is beautifully furnished and provides spacious accommodation for family and friends wishing to explore this lovely part of Galway.

After exploring the area all day, come back to this beautiful detached cottage and prepare a sumptuous meal in the open plan kitchen with dining area and multi-fuel stove, before relaxing in the sitting room by a roaring fire with a refreshing drink or go through the French door to enjoy the sunshine in the sun room.

There are four bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom.

There is a large garden outside this splendid cottage where you can sit and enjoy dining alfresco or savour some quiet time with a book whilst the children can play safely.

From your charming cottage explore the medieval town of Loughrea which lies on the northern shore of Lough Rea.

In the town centre there is also a large selection of shops and pubs.

Why not visit the 12th century Cloghan Castle and Loughrea Cathedral which houses a vast collection of Celtic art and Irish craft ware and also the ancient artefact which is called Turoe Stone?

The heritage town of Athenry and the market town of Portumna are within driving distance.

Whilst touring through the beautiful countryside stop at one of the many restaurants and enjoy a sumptuous meal.

There is a strong tradition of Irish music in the locality and many pubs stage sessions at night, plus the area has lots to offer, from beautiful countryside to great restaurants offering varied types of cuisine.

You can enjoy spectacular sunsets in Galway and Clare and the area is well known for bird watching and walking.
