An attractive ground floor detached cottage which is set next to a working livestock farm just a short distance from the village of Shrule in County Mayo.

Comfortably furnished throughout, this cosy Count Mayo cottage is ideal for family and friends, providing a great base from which to explore this lovely part of the country.

This attractive cottage near Shrule has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area which has a roaring multi-fuel stove, where you can relax with a refreshing drink after your busy day exploring the region.

There are also three lovely bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Enjoy a peaceful break at this pleasant holiday home in County May on the rear patio, relaxing with a lovely cup of coffee, planning all your activities for the rest of your holidays.

There is also a lawned garden at the front of the cottage.

Visit the small village of Shrule from your lovely cottage in County Mayo, where you will find friendly local pubs offering a warm welcome.

Just a short drive away is Galway, a city of culture, with bars and restaurants set along cobbled streets and experience one of the many annual festivals in this fabulous city.

From your County Mayo holiday cottage, visit the Connemara National Park where you will find spectacular scenery to be enjoyed by either cycling or walking along the many routes in the Park.

Also quite close is a lovely village called Cong with its variety of activities, shops and restaurants.

Further afield are the towns of Clifden, Oughterard and Castlebar and the fabulous coastline of County Clare.

Overlooking the town of Westport is the Croagh Patrick Mountain from where you can see Clew Bay.

Ballinrobe 10 miles; Galway 20 miles.

The quaint village of Shrule lies on Black River which forms the boundary between County Mayo and County Galway. The village is identifiable as you approach by Shrule Castle, an indicator of the village’s colourful and sometimes aggressive history. Located on the main N84 route to Galway City, Shrule is home to a supermarket and a number of friendly pubs. The rural setting is ideally situated for touring around many places of interest, such as the Connemara National Park, Galway City, Westport and Knock shrine.
